Conflict International was formed in 2008 following the merger of two London-based investigation agencies.

Founding directors Mike LaCorte and Jon Fawcett have grown the company to become leading specialists in intelligence, investigation and surveillance. Find out more about our progress below.

2008

Conflict International was formed following the merger of two London-based investigation agencies.

2010

Conflict quickly grew in the 2010’s, adding further strategically placed offices in New York, and in Spain and Cyprus.

2014

Mike LaCorte was elected 3rd Vice President for the World Association of Detectives.

2016

Conflict CEO Mike LaCorte is named Investigator of the Year by the World Association of Detectives.

2017

Conflict sets up an in-house vetting department, specialising in consented investigations and pre-employment screening. Covering both the UK and international markets.

2017

Conflict International continues to expand in the USA, adding a licensed office in North Carolina

2017

Mike LaCorte is elected President of the World Association of Detectives. He goes on to be WAD Chairman for three consecutive terms.

2018 - 2019

Conflict International continues to grow globally, bolstering its range of specialists with Cyber Security, Legal and Compliance experts joining the team.

2020

Conflict International is granted corporate membership Association of British Investigators (ABI), only the third company to ever achieve this status.

2020

Conflict International continues to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing key services to a range of different industries and key workers.

2021

Conflict International obtains ISO27001, ISO9001 and BS102000 international compliance accreditations, ensuring their commitment to regulatory standards and data protection.

2023

Conflict International launches a bespoke pre-employment screening service, CI Screening, using our existing specialist research skills to conduct background checks and social media screening.

2024

Conflict International obtains PSA42 Licence to operate in the Republic of Ireland.
