Stephen joined Conflict International in early 2021. Stephen brings a wealth of business experience to Conflict International, having been involved in running businesses both small and large and in both an Executive and a Non-Executive capacity.
During his corporate career Stephen operated in the Supply Chain and Logistics world working at Board level for several well-known companies and finishing up as CEO of a couple of national logistics companies.
In 2007 Stephen left the corporate world to pursue a career working predominantly with smaller, privately owned businesses. In 2009 he set up his own business, NXD Ltd which is a membership organisation with the objective of bringing the benefits of Non-Executive Directors to the SME world.
Over the years Stephen has built a diverse portfolio of business interests, which now includes, along with his role as Non-Executive for Conflict International, Chairperson of two mature family-owned businesses, Trustee of a charity, Director of a community interest company and Managing Director of NXD.
In his role with Conflict International, Stephen brings challenge, fresh perspective, independence and business experience to the Board. He also keeps the Board accountable and works to ensure that sufficient time is spent on strategy and strategic matters to protect the long-term sustainable success of the business.
