Further arrest in Kim Kardashian robbery case

A French court has charged an eleventh suspect over the robbery at gunpoint of Kim Kardashian West at her Paris apartment in 2016.

The unnamed man has been charged with armed robbery, conspiracy and holding the reality TV star against her will.

The robbery took place in October 2016 when five masked man dressed as police officers stormed an apartment where Kardashian West was staying in the city during Paris Fashion Week. She was tied up, gagged and locked in the bathroom while the robbers made off with jewellery worth almost £8 million.

One of the robbers dropped a diamond cross worth tens of thousands of pounds during their escape which was found several hours later by a passer-by. It is still the only item from the raid that has been recovered.

Preliminary charges have been filed against the suspect by an investigative judge in Paris. It is unclear when the suspects who have been charged will face trial.
